牢不可破láo bù kě pòimpregnable; in destructible; unbreakable
? 因五河人有個(gè)～的見(jiàn)識(shí)，總說(shuō)但凡是個(gè)舉人進(jìn)士，就知和知州知縣是一個(gè)人，不管什么事情都可以進(jìn)去說(shuō)，知州知縣就不能不依。(《儒林外史》511) The reason for this was the fixed belief of the citizens of Wuhe that a successful metropolitan or provincial graduate was the same as a district or county magistrate,and that when such scholars went to the yamen to ask a favour the magistrate had to grant it.
